Reader Opinion Policy

The Experience welcomes Letters to the Editor and Guest Columns. All members of the LMC community — students, faculty and staff — are encouraged to write.

If you are interested in expressing your opinions, bring your submissions to room CC3-301. You may also send them electronically through the Experience online website lmcexperience.com.

Letters and columns must be typed, signed and include a phone number for verification. They may be edited for clarity, content taste and length at the editor’s discretion.

$90k scholarship looking for applicants

A scholarship fund has been launched by the CEO of bold.org, Dror Liebenthal, that would reward any female-identifying high school, undergraduate, graduate, or trade school student who’s a single mother, widow, immigrant, woman of color, first-generation student, or survivor of abuse, a financial package of up to $90,000.

Students who are pursuing careers in the medical field, trades, or STEM are strongly preferred, but not required, for the Barbara J. DeVaney Memorial Scholarship Fund.

12 winners will be chosen with six of those receiving $10,000 and the other six receiving $5,000.

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is Thursday, September 21, 2023, so apply now!
