Reader Opinion Policy

The Experience welcomes Letters to the Editor and Guest Columns. All members of the LMC community — students, faculty and staff — are encouraged to write.

If you are interested in expressing your opinions, bring your submissions to room CC3-301. You may also send them electronically through the Experience online website lmcexperience.com.

Letters and columns must be typed, signed and include a phone number for verification. They may be edited for clarity, content taste and length at the editor’s discretion.

Fond Farewell

Professor Ana Gutierrez escorts friend and colleague Joey Martinez to his newly decorated car, courtesy of Center for Academic Support Coordinator Sandra Mills. The car was covered in clear plastic wrap, ribbons, and friendly slogans such as “Honk if you think I’m sexy.” Martinez, who is also a Los Medanos College alumni, left LMC to work at Cogswell Polytechnical College in Sunnyvalle. His last day of work was Thursday, April. 14, prior to spring break.“I will miss him very much,” said Mills. “First of all, I will miss all the help he gave me to provide the tutoring to students on campus and his sense of humor.”
