With “Daredevil: Born Again’s” weekly release schedule there are another batch of episodes that have proved that this show hasn’t ruined the legacy of its predecessor.
Episode 4 was a slow burn that did a great job showcasing Matthew Murdock true emotions. The events of episode 1 still weigh heavy on his heart, he truly is a broken man. Although this episode was by far the least action packed, it was sure to keep audiences hooked onto the plot.
Aside from the plot the camera work was beautiful, it didn’t feel like just a looking glass into the world of “Daredevil: Born Again.” It was a tool that greatly enhanced storytelling by playing with perspective. Also getting to see another actor from Netflix’s “Daredevil” was a treat.
The following episode was unique, to say the least. While it continued to move the plot forward, it had its own little subplot involving Murdock’s legal firm. Also fans that have kept up with other Marvel project’s will take note of this episode connecting further to the greater Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The action in episode 5 was absolutely immaculate. Episode 1 heavily relied on CGI for its fights, so it’s a pleasant surprise that the following episodes did not follow suit. The brawls were vicious and just encompassed the anger that Murdock had been holding in all season.
Premiering alongside the fifth episode was episode 6 which left audiences craving more. The slow burn was finally over, as two of the most noteworthy storylines converged to bring us something the MCU has never brought us before.
So far everything about this show in particular has felt more mature than every other project, due to “Born Again” being less reliant on humor than other Marvel projects. It also doesn’t cater to the typical superhero genre fans. It genuinely cares about telling a great story first and foremost.
Episode 6 also continued the trend of showcasing the duality between Wilson Fisk and Matthew Murdock. While their arcs run parallel to one another, viewers haven’t seen such a contrast between these two since “Daredevil” season 3.
Overall, fans of Daredevil would be disappointed to miss such a continuation of such a compelling story and even though it’s two-thirds of the way to completion it still feels like it barely got the gears turning.
The highly anticipated climax of “Daredevil: Born Again” will be sprinkled out for the next three Tuesdays at 6 p.m. on Disney+.

Daredevil: Born Again is immaculate. It has only gotten better since the premiere and Disney should pour it’s all into this. Also, now that we’re getting a bit more grown up with the world of the Daredevil, it might be a perfect time to bring back the real Punisher. If you bring him back without John Bernthal, don’t even bother.

It’s great to see that Disney is allowing Daredevil to return to what seems more akin to its Netflix roots. This is becoming the show we originally grew to enjoy immensely in its previous incarnation!
