The Epstein investigation has been trending since Trump has taken office. We as a nation have only finally gotten a law that propels the investigation forward, but will it ever?
On Nov 19, Trump signed the Epstein Transparency Act, which gives the US Supreme court access to all unclassified files, including photos about Epstein and his partners in crime. According to NBC, “all unclassified records, documents, communications, and investigative materials” possessed by the Justice Department and the FBI regarding Epstein, entities with known or alleged ties to the deceased sex offender, travel records, internal government communications about him and records about his death. This breakthrough will provide the victims of Epstein the justice that they so deserve and expose the liars, manipulators, and cheaters of the law. This law also will verify that Trump was in fact a part of Epstein’s sex trafficking ring, although he has denied it. Trump’s name will be amongst several public officials who were involved with Epstein in the early 2000s.
Attorney General Pam Bondi was asked by Congress to give a status update regarding the release of additional documents pertaining to the Epstein investigation. Without a clear response, lawmakers passed a law to release more information about Epstein and his constituents, no later than this Friday. There should be no grace period regarding information when a person was breaking the law by having sex with underage girls. Yet, lawmakers wrote to Bondi, “In the interest of transparency and clarity on the steps required to faithfully implement the Epstein Files Transparency Act, we request a briefing either in a classified or unclassified setting, to discuss the full contents of this new information in your possession at your convenience.” Bondi has been taking her sweet time to release more files because of the Trump Administration not wanting to accept the scrutiny that this release would entail. Trump was asked about the release of the Epstein files, and he blatantly told a reporter to, “Shut up, piggy.” Trump had a change of heart about releasing the files, because he believed that releasing them would expose the democrats for who they are. Just recently, Trump said that the Epstein files are all a distraction from the democrats and Trump hopes that Clinton’s name comes up according to NPR. This isn’t a distraction, it’s an ongoing case that has been sitting dormant for 20+ years. If it is a democratic hoax, then the files should be released, indefinitely to prove the point Trump is trying to make. Although there should be checks and balances regarding this investigation, justice is long over do.
