Event for students to focus on future
Transfer Day is on Thursday
Various four year universities, such as UC Davis, CSU Chico and CSU East Bay, trade/vocational schools and many other colleges from around the state will be attending the Spring Transfer Day on Thursday, April 16.
Spring Transfer Day is the perfect opportunity for students who plan to attend universities in Fall 2015.
Students can have their questions answered in regards to the next step of the application process, the campus life experience and which classes to take. Transfer Day is open to anyone who wants to transfer or who is still deciding to transfer. Not only is Transfer Day informative, but students can also build a relationship with schools before a final decision is made.
“Transfer Day is a good way for students to interact with representatives from different colleges. They learn more about specific schools and build relationships with the school of their choice,” said LMC’s Transfer Counselor David Reyes.
Transfer Day is can help students with furthering the application process, especially if this is their last semester at LMC. Students can figure out specific deadlines, events and all that there is to look forward to in regards to campus life. Representatives from the various colleges are there to help you answer any questions you may have, whether it is in regards to a specific major program or activities on campus.
“Transfer Day was extremely helpful. I had no idea what college I even wanted to consider, but after talking to all of the reps, I decided my goal was to try and go out of state. I highly recommend checking out the great schools that come to visit LMC,” Said Eric Wagener, a freshman, who attended Transfer Day last semester
“Transfer day is good for students who have recently been accepted. The reps from colleges will help you when it comes to steps after the application process,” said Steven Nguyen, a graduate intern at LMC.
Spring Transfer day will be held at LMC in the 3rd level of the College Complex and will begin at 10 a.m.
