The fifth installment of the Die Hard franchise proves to be the worst of the bunch as the act gets tiring. Action movies have become way to formulaic nowadays, and this fits into that category. Bruce Willis is his typical self, but the supporting cast does not shine.

There was a “bad guy” in the film that is suppose to be menacing and threatening looking, and he is eating a carrot the entire time. That is all you need to know about this movie. The movie was well shot, for the most part, but some of the car crashes and other action set pieces are completely unnecessary and just mask the fact that the movie was lacking in actual plot development and tried to make up for it in explosions.

Apart from that, most of the one-liners that Willis tries to spew throughout the film fall flat and are way too corny overall. If you are looking to just see a lot of bad guys get killed and not have to think too much, this would be the perfect movie to go see.

Otherwise, do not bother.

‘Good Day’ was an excellent movie and a great addition to the Die Hard series. John McClane (Bruce Willis) teams up with his son Jack (Jai Courtney) in Russia and takes on a plethora of bad guys.

The movie has everything from drama, action and suspense, to comedy. Right as an action scene finishes up, there is a perfectly placed comic relief scene to ease up the tense viewer.

The musings of McClane and his son are marvelous. Their stubborn personalities make for some ballsy moves that they make throughout the movie, which lead to lots of action and suspense.

There are plot twists throughout the whole movie and it makes the viewer gasp every time something unexpected happens.

I would highly recommend it, especially to fans of the Die Hard series. The movie kept me on the edge of my seat and would be a great movie to watch with anyone.
