Knockout movies are few and far between, even in today’s super-saturated movie market, but when they do appear, people know it. When I say this I’m telling the truth. Breaking Dawn Part 2 is personally the best movie out of the Twilight Saga movie franchise.
Starring in Breaking Dawn Part 2 is Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Elizabeth Reaser, Kellan Lutz, Jackson Rathbone, Peter Facinelli, Billy Burke and the talented Mackenzie Foy who plays Bella’s daughter, Renesmee Cullen. With a big cast and many talented actors the movie’s plot and storyline was wonderfully and successfully executed.
Picking up from Breaking Dawn Part 1, which ends with protagonist Bella Cullen on a table, venom entering her system and her vampiric transformation occurring just after giving birth to her daughter Renesmee, Breaking Dawn Part 2 picks up with Bella’ exploration of her newfound superhuman skills. Once she opens her eyes she quickly adjusts to her new life as vampire. She’s much faster, stronger and adapts well to being a vampire. The movie, despite being a serious romance teen flick, had me laughing at a few scenes, one being when Bella and Emmett have an arm wrestling match and she beats him.
Everything seems to be going good for the Cullens, as both Edward and Bella are beyond happy and they love their daughter Renesmee, but when The Volturi learns about Renesmee’s existence they believe she is an immortal child that will become a threat to other vampires. When the Cullens learn they are in danger, they go out in search of other vampire covens including The Denail, Amazon, Irish, Nomad, Romanian, Egyptian and South American covens. The other covens are there to witness and show The Volturi that Reneemee is not an immortal child and that the Cullens didn’t do anything wrong.
Directed by Bill Condon and produced by Wyck Godfrey, author Stephenie Meyer, who also wrote the screenplay, did an amazing job helping to bring the novel to the silver screen.
I don’t want to spoil anything for people who have not seen Breaking Dawn Part 2 but let me tell you this; you’ll love the movie and will want to see it more than once. The ending of the movie is a big twist that no one will see coming.
I give this movie five stars out of five. I’m still on Team Jacob!
