DEAR READERS:
Welcome to the spring 2013 semester. I hope you enjoyed the winter break and ready to return to academia.
This semester the Experience staff will try something new. We will periodically design the Perspectives page with a theme to show both sides of a single issue we feel is of the upmost importance to our community with the hope of opening dialogue for understanding and change, if needed.
The topics that we will cover will range from local to national issues. This week’s issue is on gun control and how it impedes our rights and safety.
Letters to the editor are always welcome if you would like to express your individual opinion after you have read our commentaries.
The role of the student newspaper is not only to bring the news but also to express the views of the community we serve in the best way we can.
If you are passionate about a topic and would like to see it covered on a themed Perspectives page please feel free to send me an email at [email protected] or stop by the Journalism Lab level three of the College Complex Room CC3-301 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
