Fall festival to scare on Friday

Student Life and Honors are hosting the LMC Fall Festival on Friday, Oct. 26. This event will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The 2nd floor of the College Complex will hold the festival while the 1st floor is designated to Shenanigans to put on their event, Hotel 270, which is a haunted house. Those planning on coming to the events should bring cash to purchase food and drinks.

“This is LMC’s third year putting on the event,” said Student Life Advisor Teresea Archaga. “It gives clubs on campus a chance to get together.”

Money made from the haunted house will be split between Shenanigans and Honors.

“There will be a costume contest, food and it’s family friendly,” Archaga continued. The 2nd floor is kid-friendly but the 1st floor haunted house is for age 13 and up.

For clubs wanting to participate the deadline is apply and get organized is Thurs, Oct. 25.

While Honors will be helping with the festival on the 2nd floor, Shenanigans will be on the 1st floor with their event. It costs $1 admission to get in Hotel 270’s haunted house. LMC Student Jaime Orozco to be just as scary as last year’s.

“From what I heard about last year’s event, It’s going to be scary.” Orozco said that it was spooky and he doesn’t like to get scared before bedtime. “It messes with me.”

In contrast to Orozco, another LMC student, Saul Palomino, loves scary things and what some have called “spooky season.”

“I’m going to be part of the haunted house,” said Palomino. He explains that he loves doing the scaring.

“Yep, I’m going to be the creepy guest,” he continued.
