When it comes to Christmas time, most already have a couple of ideas in mind on what they are asking for. Whether it’s items from beauty care supplies, some new clothes to keep you cozy during the winter time, or even a bookshelf. Los Medanos College students share some of the items on their wishlist this year.
Student, Brianna Cortez shared how she hopes she gets a Mclaren Merch Shirt.
“Earlier this year I got into Formula 1 and I’ve been so infatuated with it,” Cortez said. “So since then I’ve been buying merch like crazy, and this one shirt will only grow my collection.”
It seems that clothes are an all-time favorite gift for every holiday season as they never go out of style. Student Brandon Flores said he hopes to receive a lot of clothes this year.
“I want clothes this Christmas because they are timeless, will last long, and keep me comfortable and warm,” Florez said. “I’m hoping to get some comfy and cool pants and sweaters this year.”
Other students are asking for things related to their interests and hobbies such as cooking and reading. Student Khasheyna Senior wishes for furniture to store her books.
“I want a cherry wood bookshelf that’s about 6 feet tall for my Kpop albums and manga books. Additionally, I would also like some anime figures,” Senior said.
Student, Andrea Romero wishes to get a record player for all of her vinyls.
“I want a new record player because the one I currently have is a briefcase but those scratch up the vinyl,” Romero said. “I also would like baking supplies, I love baking but good baking supplies can be a little pricey so I tend to always ask for them as gifts.”
Student Nathan Ravelo shares how video games are on his wishlist saying “I want Kirby’s Return to Dream Land for my Nintendo Switch, I love Kirby and I love video games.”
A gift could be something simple such as a gift card, with a hint of self-care. Student Alex Acosta shares how he wants a gift card.
“A gift card for some type of massage would be nice. I can appreciate a gift that helps me recover and heal my body from all my hard labor,” Acosta said.
Student Jen Ramirez shares how the main item on the top of her list is an air wrap tool perfect for styling hair in seconds.
“I would like some sort of air wrap tool because I always style my hair and having an air wrap would cut down the time it takes to dry and then also curl it. It also just looks fun to use,” Ramirez said.
Student Ariam Gomez said she wishes she could have more knitting and crocheting tools to be able to make items.
“I was hoping to make hats and scarves to give out to the homeless or at shelters but since I only crochet it’s time-consuming. If I do get a machine I would be able to complete a goal of mine,” Gomez said.
