The holiday season is here, and with it comes the return of the 34th annual Holiday Gift Drive at Los Medanos College. The drive provides gifts for the children of families within the CalWORKS, EOPS and CARE programs.
There are over 200 children ages 1 month to 17 years old in need of donations this year. Half of the children in need are ages 1 month to 9 years old, and the other half are 10 to 17 years old. The drive is looking for toys or clothes appropriate for either girls or boys.
It is asked that, as you do your own shopping and are within your means, consider purchasing an extra gift for a child in a family that may be struggling to make ends meet this holiday season.
Those wishing to make a donation can drop the unwrapped gift(s) off at the Office of Instruction on the Pittsburg campus, or the Administration Offices on the Brentwood campus Mon-Thurs. Online donations can also be sent to the Office of Instruction on the Pittsburg campus.
