In an age where society feels scary and inconsistent and all hope seems lost, the need for good news and joy is at an all time high – especially in art form. To fulfill this need at Los Medanos College, Christian R&B artist Montrice Alesha is set to take the stage in the Student Union Conference Room, Dec. 6.
With inspirations from Yolanda Adams and Tasha Cobbs, Alesha hopes to “help others find that healed space within themselves.”
Alesha found her resilience through her passion for music, as it helped her get through tough times.
“I was abandoned at 2 years old so that was really helpful for me,” said Alesha. “I say that because I started singing in church and performing at different events at 5 years old. Singing has really helped me continue living and defeating internal battles.”
Alesha is set to perform her first album titled “Amazing,” and the LMC audience will be the first to hear it in its entirety. While it isn’t yet released on streaming platforms, singles on the album like title song “Amazing” and “Hosanna” are available to enjoy.
With an inspiring message of hope, Alesha encourages her audience, even in the most difficult trials we face, to “keep going.”
If you want to listen to Montrice Alesha’s inspiring music, both singles are available on all streaming platforms and her first album is to be released in the near future.
If you wish to join Alesha in an uplifting and positive environment, the concert will be held in the Student Union Conference Room Friday Dec. 6 at 7 p.m.
