Los Medanos’ Transfer and Career department coordinated the Transfer and Opportunity fair, for Oct. 22 in the Student Union Conference Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Multiple college ambassadors and employers will attend the event and network with prospective employees and students. The ambassadors will provide information on the colleges they represent, and the employers will present the job descriptions and connect with students.
This fair allows students to advance their educational goals and job careers. Professors from various departments will share information for students with undeclared majors.
All of the college ambassadors will table at the event. Most will discuss programs, transfer requirements, financial options, and more. The employers will provide job descriptions, network with students, share more information about their organizations, and advise students on furthering their careers. Many different types of colleges will attend the event, including private, public, art, and technical colleges.
This transfer event happens once a semester and is an opportunity for students to learn more about various colleges, inspire them to start researching and prepare for transfer.
