With Boba increasing in popularity, Teaspot, a family-owned Boba shop located in Brentwood, has competition. Teapot recently opened up in Lone Tree Plaza which prompted me to do a review on the newest chain.
From both places, I ordered the classic milk tea. Classic milk tea usually consists of an Oolong or Black Tea base with milk and tapioca honey pearls. Both places also had only one size which was especially large.
For Teapot, the developing boba chain, the tea itself, although at 100% sweetness, was not extremely sweet. With most places that I’ve been to, the tea has been abnormally sweet and the taste of the tea was fresh with more of a black tea taste with a hint of Oolong mixed in. This was different since normally it’s not mixed.
Although the boba was cold, it was perfectly chewy with a slight sweetness to it.
The service was also very fast. Overall, the employees were nice and welcoming.
For Teaspot, the family-owned boba shop, the classic milk tea was also 100% sweet. The tea is a classic Oolong tea with a good amount of sweetness. There wasn’t a lot of ice in the drink which made more room for boba and milk tea. The boba is also chewy and has a great texture and it was warm as soon as I got it. Although, as it sat in the drink it started to get a bit tough and cold. The service was also fast and the employees were very welcoming.
Overall, I recommend Teapot more due to the pricing. The pricing of one drink was $5.95 while Teaspot’s prices increased to $7.50.
